I am Vickie, I have two grown up daughters, a dog and my poor husband who has to live with three women. I have worked in the charity sector for over 20 years both in local and national charities. I currently work at the NSPCC as a fundraising manger. I have been the chair at both my children’s schools PTA and I guess, I just want to “make a difference!” I love meeting people and hearing of new and innovative ideas…… I am a little maverick too!

I have worked at Broadway Primary School since 2002. I am School Business Manager and a member of the school leadership team. Both of my grown up children attended Broadway. Originally from Bradford, West Yorkshire I came to Haslingden in 1976. I am also a school governor at Haslingden High School.

Hi I’m Fiona. I have a daughter at our school and two older boys. I live locally and work as an Occupational Therapist for a Local Authority. We support people with disabilities to be as safe and independent as possible in their everyday lives. I qualified in 1998 and have worked part time for the past 17 years. I have lots of practical and creative skills and enjoy being involved in school life to enable our Broadway family to continue to grow.

Hi, I’m Jo. I have a daughter and son at Broadway. They both thoroughly enjoy their time at Broadway and we all think it’s a fab school. I work in the legal sector and specialise in child care which is interesting and rewarding. I live in the local area and enjoy the community spirit that is connected to the school.

I joined the Governing Body in Summer 2023 as a Co-opted Governor. I have almost 15 years’ experience working with statutory and third sector organisations. Previously, I was the youngest elected member on Hull City Council. For the last nine years, I have worked as Fundraising Consultant. I support local and national charities to raise funds from grant funders and measure their impact – I specialise in charities support young people and people with mental health problems. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family who attend schools in Rossendale, cooking and sport. My role as a Governor allows me to take an active part in our school community, adding as much value and support as possible to ensure Broadway continues to achieve our high standards giving our children the best possible all-round education and future.
